not according to www.autosport.com

Arrows looks set to compete in the Belgian Grand Prix with Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Enrique Bernoldi continuing in the cockpit. The latest word is that an American who has made his money in steel-related industry has signed a heads of agreement with Tom Walkinshaw and Morgan Grenfell, with a deal expected in the near future.

HHF would be the favourite for the seat. As autosport.com also say:

"Arrows chief designer Sergio Rinland told Autosport.com in Belgium that the cars have been scrutineered and the cockpit of one of the A23s has been changed back to fit Frentzen after it was initially thought that Renault tester Fernando Alonso would join Bernoldi at Spa."

Frentzen *is* on the entry list - if that says anything or not!

Bas leinders is in Magny-Cours for the next round of the TWS so he hasn't got the possibility to drive for Arrows altough he has the budget says his manager.

I read HHF has been offered to drive for Arrows at Spa. I think it will be the same line-up as before. He's got nothing better to do!

According to Reuters this morning HHF manager has said he won't be driving. HHF has been entered as the No 2 driver which gives the team the chance to change the name again. They are only allowed to change the No 1 driver once. The plot thickens.

although the car was scrutineered with Frentzen's seat in it , they are reporting that they expect Alonso to drive this weekend in Spa.

Latest I've heard.

Frentzen says he's not driving at Spa. Bridgestone don't want Alonso to drive and take info back to Michelin.

Leinders mentioned, but no Superlicence....maybe the FIA will waive this requirement...very convenient....

Arrows have showed up - but will they really make an effort to qualify? If they're once again just going through the motions to avoid paying the fine from the FIA - and dont really intend to qualify - then why not put Yoong in the car!

thats a good idea...it looks that that may be the plan again.. Just do the bare minimum to avoid a fine .....

do they have to run both cars to avoid the fine , or can they just get away with running 1 car for Bernoldi .

Apparently Rinland has said that the car is set up for Frentzen and he has rejoined the team.

According to another thread, Cosworth have witheld the black boxes and so it rather looks as though no-one will be driving the Arrows this weekend!

For legal reasons they didn't run at all in todays free practice. They are waiting for confirmation of the new investor, hopefully today before they are allowed to run.

Tom Walkinshaw himself will be the driver of the second Arrows!
For those who used to follow Tom's career, wouldnt that be a great thing to see happening ? Just dreaming off course ...
I miss those Jaguar XJ12, Rover Vitesse, Volvo 240, BMW 635 ... great days!
