Anthony Davidson tested a Champ Car?
So I was watching some of the Goodwood festival in the UK on TV at the weekend. Anthony Davidson (BAR F1 tester) popped up driving a Prost/Senna McLaren-Honda MP4/5. Afterwards he said it was loads of fun - slick tyres (Avon), and so on. He mentioned that it felt a lot like a modern Champ Car does, though. He said that he'd tested one last year? When did that happen? Which team? It seemed like a cool compliment...

Anthony Davidson is fully committed to Formula One, but he enjoys driving anything he's given to try. I'd love to see him try a Rally car next!

He deserves a go in F1, but I'm sure he'd accept CART for 2004 if nothing else is on offer. He had offers from CART for this yeare, but held out for the Jordan drive, which went to Firman in questionable circumstances.

When I interviewed him at Sebring he said Absolutely Not. Other forms of racing are a sideline to him is what he said.
