According to www.f1racing.net/en MF1 has been sold to the DUtch consortium! And there was talk off them using Ferrari V8s for next year! Hope it is the upward climb for the MF1 team

Does anybody think that Jos Verstappen would have anything to do with this Dutch team ?

Alex Schnaider seemed to lose itnerest pretty quickly. He seems to be the modern equivalent of Andrea Sassetti or Peter Monteverdi - his ambition overtook his actual understanding of how difficult F1 management is, or of what he would have to do to get a strong team together. Hopefully the new people are more clued-up.

I always understood that Shnaider was a team owner only because he thought he could increase his business, unlike someone such as Paul Stoddart who poured his heart and soul (and money) into Minardi for the love of the sport.

Well... Wasn't that just a massive surprise. Not.
MF1 weren't going anywhere under the current ownership. Let's hope some more results can come after this takeover. |

Slightly irrelevent to the actual topic, but there was an MF1 Liveried truck at Knockhill last weekend for the BTCC, I thought that was a bit odd.
Anyways, back on topic, if Mr Shnaider's aim was to promote and forward his business(es?), then I don't think his quite frankly rubbish F1 effort helped at all. |

Although if that was the case I doubt he'd be so quick to sell. |

Very true, hospitaly tends to sweeten people up pretty well, atleast from what i've seen.
However, as you said - if so, why sell? |

Yep, nothing like an F1 pit & paddock pass to loosen the cheque book for most people!

Wonder if Shnaider made a profit? I imagine not.

Good riddance.
Never liked the team, poor show from start to finish. Lets hope a team with a heart and soul for the love of racing comes to replace them. |

About 25 minutes I expect.
Nah, this should at least be a better show than Midland made of it. This was some team. From the moment Colin Kolles arrogantly made his mark on his fellow team bosses at the Australian GP 2005 to the sacking of Trevor Carlin, the attitude displayed towards Narain Karthikeyan, the sudden dissapearance of Dallara from the main project and the ridiculous livery. Good bye Midland. You will not be missed. |

He could've easily made a small fortune out of F1 though....
...after starting with a much larger one *apologies for bad joke* |

Maybe Dornboos can get a seat then. I'd like to see him on the grid.

Doornbos is rumoured for Champcar I believe. But, that depends on an F1 seat.
With these Dutch owners, Doornbos is a possibility. But then so is Jos Verstappen I'd imagine! |

Albers must be favourite for one drive, the second could go to whoever brings the biggest cheque, depending on how well-funded the new owners are. Klien could land here?
