Valker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Legends "Euro Final" Jerez

The 1st Legends cars "Euro Final" will take place in Jerez this weekend. There'll be about 10 drivers from Finland and naturally many more from Spanish series. But what about others? Some British maybe?

I did not even know there was one but it sounds good.
I expect that a team from my home town will be entering several drivers.
Racetec normally field 4 or 5 cars during the season.
Keep an eye out for Dave Ward if he comes over.
He used to race in Rallycross and was very quick.
Ive got a video of him at Blyton and hes got no fear!

Yep. It's not a suprise you haven't heard about it. There doesn't seem to be too much information anywhere.

And about ex-rallycrossers. Matti Alamäki (1981 rallycross European champ ) and Jussi Rasku (4th in Legends Trophy 2006) are going to Jerez.

Other fast finns are Petri Lappalainen (2nd) and Petri Ylinen (6th).

I had heard about it, but seen conflicting dates posted. Would love to go, but its a bit expensive at such short notice.

Saving up to go to the world final at some point!!

Dave was at the Legends round at Brands as part of the Truck meeting - he looked pretty quick then I believe he is also the UK Legends rookie champion for the season just finished.

Any pics of the event?

Would love to go, not seen racing in Spain...yet, though will see testing next month! Though don't think January will be too warm at the same time

Suze are you going to Jerez or somewhere else in Spain?

If it's Jerez then it will be reasonably warm and an awful lot warmer than over here in blighty (there is also the sherry and the local brandy to keep you warm!).

Also if you are going to jerez and need a recommendation for accommodation I would check out Hotel Casa Grande it is excellent and not hugely expensive and the owner Monika is the best....... check the site:

http://www.casagrande.com.es

Racing and testing for that matter is always a pleasure in Spain, unless you get caught in a sleet storm at Circuit Catalunya in early march (only for a couple of hours and the rest of the weekend and Barcelona was very warm [21c] and extremely pleasant!) which rather messed up the Motogp official test.

The best circuits are Jerez, Jarama and Catalunya, Valencia is a bit mickey mouse IMHO, although for early season good weather Jerez and valencia are the best - Catalunya and Jarama are too far north for warm stuff.
