A lasting memorial that pretty much anyone in the world can see anytime.
A great idea, well done and thanks to Jackie. |

Fascinating! A real trip down memory lane, knowing many of the people in the pictures.
It's also a reminder of just how many race car manufacturers have come & gone - and that's just from a small part of Norfolk! I shall look forward to the book. |

Fitting tribute to a true racer.
It made me smile to think his career in the UK started in a bus garage in Edinburgh, I believe the enthusiast who encouraged Jo to persue his motor racing ambitions may have been my father's cousin, Peter Dourley. The Edinburgh buses must have been fast in those days as there was also a young mechanic working there who had ambitions in motor racing, Derrick Walker. Derrick joined Brabham and became chief mechanic before moving to Penske where he held the position of Vice President of Racing before leaving to join the ill fated Porsche Indycar programme and eventually setting up Walker Racing. It's refreshing to know that to this day Derrick regularly keeps in touch with Peter and always visits when he is back in Scotland. |

I am so pleased to hear this. Whilst Del Bennet is mentioned on the website, Del had the Huron only a short time and struggled with it.
His then sponsor, Bruno Drury of Pinch Plant (Then a huge Essex based company) who bought the car from the guys who purchased the company's assets from the liquidators, was very unhappy with Del's lack of performance and took the Huron back. And asked me to run it under my team, Felspeed racing. http://forums.autosport.com/topic/94...n#entry7462868 Does anyone have Jackie's email address, please? I can send her some pictures. 1971 Yellow Pages Championship: Mallory 28-03-71 Castle Coombe: out. Brands: Did Not Start Brands: Did not arrive.
