Time Attack & EDC Anglesey 11/12 Aug 12

Hi
Brigette & I are down to marshal at this event next weekend. No tickets have arrived yet, nor is there a timetable of events.
Does anyone know what time sign on is for both days & whether there is anything else on track apart from the drift & time attack

If you see me it will be a VERY cold weekend - hell will have frozen over before I do a Chav Sprint meeting!

Speaking with Terry, he said that any marshal that does not get tickets and have volunteered, only need to show their MSA registration card at the gate they will be let in and gives a guest pass if required.

Im playing with the Chavs too this weekend. Just found myself at a loose end and there was a space for the Lancer day on the Friday too, so I hope the weather is kind at least.

Thanks Fazza, just to confirm to all marshals who have booked on for this event, I heard a rumour that we are sending out tickets but that isn't happening!
However, any marshal that is booked in to the event need only present themselves at the gatehouse before 10am either day and the will given a pass plus a guest pass.

Any problems please ring the circuit office prior to the event on 01407811400
Thanks Terry

bump!!!
can i just say what a fantastic weekend. great on track action, time attack stunning as always, same for edc drift. public track time a nightmare but very interesting and civic cup with some awesome racing. teams and officials and absolute joy. even the late nite rave on saturday was well behaved and good fun.
cant belive we were so short on orange to the point of nearly cancelling. more people should give this a chance.
met the time attack boys and start line al, hope to see you all again soon.

I believe that there were quite a few cancellations / no shows amongst the orange brigade. If people volunteer for a meeting then decide that they aren't going to go then at least have the decency to let the organising club know well in advance. Yes, I know that some will be short notice cancellations.

I hadn't voluntered for the meeting as i had booked a weekend away with my son, but it sounds like i missed a good weekend.

It was the usual chavtastic weekend, good DJ sets on Saturday night and everyone was reasonably well behaved. My mate sadly had his race suit stolen but I think that was the only down side I heard of over the weekend. Fun to do and just a different weekend to normal, a good amount of down time and chance to watch some of the best car control in the country. Appreciated the contribution to expenses too. Very welcome. I'll certainly consider going next year.

Had a good weekend over at Modified Live. It's definitely different but also enjoyable. Had a great view for the drifting on Saturday in the sunshine at the Corkscrew and the sight of some of the more powerful time attack cars putting the power down heading off down the Tom Pryce Straight was great to see. The Sunday was definitely different, playing with the Drift Taxi's. Nearly all the passengers loved the experience (the one who didn't would have made Vicki Pollard look like an Angel) and the control of cars for these guys and girls was first class.

Was great to see so many spectators over at the Circuit and its a real shame that the 4 wheeled event that brings in the most public suffers to attract Marshals.

Hope a few more join in the fun next year.

We both enjoyed the weekend. Circuit staff friendly & welcoming, Time attack was great to watch, top speed for the quicker boys - 145mph! Seeing two trucks drifting through Banking was a sight to behold.
As marshals, we should be open minded about all forms of motorsport & try supporting our colleagues who step outside the boundaries of touring cars & other high profile events. Maybe I'll go rallying & karting next.
It was a good atmosphere, crowds well mannered & drivers appreciated our presence with no prima-donnas.
Besides, our two lads are into drift & we love supporting them.
PS Brigette did two days flagging so perhaps she can upgrade from white at last!! All flags were used

20 Oct, near Ruthin, Cambrian Rally, BRMC stage, get to see Fazz and C9 in thier winter plumage!

Plus, its a round of the historic, so gravel plus hoards of Mk2s = Drifting a go go

Drop us a pm for more details

Ian

I'm hurt

you forgot me, I may do my rally work for a different club but i count myself as a rally guy as well

As for the cambrian I'm out doing a stage finish control and would welcome the oppurtunity to teach the art of rally timing to others as well

Also running tests for historic events during the close season for racing

Sorry, Justin, hadnt noticed you hideing!

Sorry Richard, you count as multi tasking anyway

Fraid our stage wins, 2 runs, plus a very tight gap between runs to turn the stage around, so everyone get the chance to build a rallystage, my inspection run might have 00 up me chuff
