Warning - Sportscar-related Viruses on the loose!
Just to give everyone the heads up that there seems to be an awful lot of viral activity going on out there and some of it is heading my way (and perhaps yours?) from respected sites. I've had two in the last few days by way of emails, one from Ray Mallock Limited (RML) - I forget now where the other was from, but it was from a sportscar team's site.
I think I headed everything off at the pass, but if anyone starts getting **** from me, I didn't intend to send it - honest! In recent weeks I've been updating my av definitions virtually daily and doing a full scan at least once a week. |

I do a scan every day -- I missed one day and ended up with 1600 infected files!

Thanks for the warning. I have had several e-mails rejected over the last couple of weeks.

All are coming from corporate email adresses, some of motoring websites. It seems to be transmitted by the email adress directories  if someone of you receive something rude from me (as i'm well educated ) it won't me my fault |

OK, tonight I can get to the forum correctly. Imagine that tuesday and yesterday, my provider sent me a message : "page not found" !
Again, I've just received 3 infected mail, always with W32.netsky.P@mm. Among them : a mail from Brasil ! Fortunatly, my computer is protected. But I still wonder why I could not reach the forum... Last edited by PascaLM; 8 Apr 2004 at 17:00. |

Are you on AOL, Pascal? There has been a problem for AOL users.

The problem is that any infected e-mail can be sent to any IP adress. |

I think the site problem affected AOL and others - certainly I kept getting "error 500" for two days when trying to log in.
As for the recent virus activity, if there's a light moment in all this, perhaps it comes from a colleague who in her frustration exclaimed "Tim, the Historic Virus Register just sent us a Lotus..." |
