No run-off, no DRS. Every single overtake was hard-earned and real tooth and nail stuff.
People who say 'F1 doesn't belong in Monaco' don't understand. This was the real deal. So, so happy for Bianchi. Marussia deserved that. They've been consistently better than Caterham this year. Many a tear, and many a beer tonight! Loved it. Selby |

I enjoyed that on many levels. The tension at the start, Lewis putting the pressure on Nico up until his eye problem and the late charge by Ricciardo. Good use of the SC, with no overly long caution periods. Great midfield battles and an attritional race, something I haven't seen in a while. Marussia got their first points. 8

8. Shame we didn't get anything super-close between Rosberg and Hamilton, but that was way above par for Monaco.
Though I'm really starting to savour this circuit every year, as it seems to instigate the most pure racing. |

With no DRS, walls real close, hard to pass, but some real tension in it, I gave it 7. But not as good as Bahrain, and that was a 9 for me.

There's people on F1 Fanatic giving this 3's and 4's, yet gave Spain 9's/10's.
These are the fans that modern F1 is being catered to Just about managing to keep my hair in tact... Selby |

7.
It was a good race. A bit dull at times but there was enough intrigue to keep me watching. Off to Canada! |

Starts at a 7 for Great battles, lack of DRS, overtaking that mattered and actual 'gasp' attrition in modern F1.
+1 for Princess Louise losing +1 for Bianchi/Marussia points 9 |

8 - Just a really enjoyable race. And as Dan wrote, enjoyable in an old school sort of way!
Really happy for Bianchi and really happy for Marcus Ericssons strong finish to the race, was holding my breath when Magnussen and Kimi bumped in to each other! |

F1Fanatic is easily the cesspit of the F1 fandom. Not surprised. Plus I'm pretty sure any race that a British driver wins gets an automatic 9 or 10 from many on that website.

5. before the SC, it was... "stuck in first gear"
afterwards it got a lot better, but imo mainly because I was rooting for Bianchi to score points. and I deducted points for appalling stewarding... |

For a dry Monaco - it was quite an interesting race. A solid and decent 7. Good to see Rosberg not let Lewis have it all his own way. Some decent overtakes without the magical DRS and some decent racing. Plus, one of the smaller teams claiming some points.

5/10 for me - which with only the rarest of exceptions is usually about as good as Monaco gets.

5 for me. Not much in the way of overtaking or even battles that had any hope of overtaking, but it looked pretty and some cars were fairly close together at some moments during the race.
