Sarah Fisher Running 2 Cars In 2010
Sarah Fisher will make a big announcement today at Homestead-Miami Speedway. I believe it will be that she will have a second car on her team next year. The car number is #66 and will run a limited schedule on select events.
The rumor out of Indy has it to be Jay Howard as the driver. |

It is official. Sarah Fisher will have a 2 car team next year.
Sarah Fisher will compete in 9 races next year (3 more than last year) and she will have Jay Howard drive in 4 of those races as her teammate, including the Indy 500. Sarah will be back in the #67 car and Jay Howard will be driving the #66 car with a backing of Tire Kingdom as the primary sponsor. |

Fisher will compete in seven oval races and the early-season St. Petersburg and Barber Motorsports Park street/road course events. Howard, the 2006 Firestone Indy Lights champion, will start his season in the Indianapolis 500 and add Texas Motor Speedway, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Chicagoland Speedway.

I was hoping Howard would get more races but that's still good news for my fellow northern boy

Is he bringing fat sponsorship money? Their team is not well suited for the division of resources from what I have seen. SFR underachieved at Homestead.

An extra car has to be good news, even if it will realistically be at or near the back. You never know who might notice Jay and be impressed by his efforts - or might put some extra funding into the team for 2011. It's great to have a true family-run team out there.

I agree, 4 races is better than none, and with his foot in the door it could lead to bigger and better things for 2011.
I'm also glad to see such a small team like SFR trying to expand for next year. |

Dunno if it's the right place to post it, but I learnt that AJ Foyt has purchased a brand-new chassis.
Do somebody know who'll be the driver? |
