Mallory Test Morning 7th July

Or to be more accurate the title should be 'Running In morning'
A Gitanes Ecurie Fillipinetti liveried Lola did 3 laps before heading off for the Le Mans Classic, a straight out of the box Ascari trundled round doing 2 lap sessions, a '10' plate Westfield joined in the running in laps as did Dan Fox in a customers Van Dieman, joined by Stuart Kestenbaum, who put in a 49.8 in a F.Ford that was just a 'tub' last weekend.

Cars seen in the Tin top sessions were: The Lola & Ascari as mentioned, a couple of Caterhams, a Fisher Fury without much bodywork which made it look more like an American quarter miler, 8 MX5's, a Britcar Honda Integra,an XJS, 2 Mustangs, a Locost and a very pretty Elva.

Unusually there were no 'winged' F.Fords to join the 3 1600's, in the single seater sessions, a modern Dallara F3, a pair of Coopers, a Mallock Clubman, a 4 cylinder Lotus and the fastest by a long way a Benetton in 'Zig Zag' livery were out. Also surprising was the lack of a red flag all morning!
