Good stuff from Tags!  Looks to be touch and go with rain; standards for May in Indy. Maybe six more cars left to go according the IndyCar stream. |

given that TK is one of the worst drivers at qualifying compared to his race performance, that says a hell of a lot about Andretti team

I am really shocked that Danica did not make the top 24 today. She had speed all week. Im also shocked how bad the Andretti team did today. Not a good day

I wouldn't call Ryan a road course specialist - kind of an unfair label. He is the model of a modern IndyCar driver. Sebastian Bourdais would be more of the road course specialist, he doesn't have much interest in running ovals! But seriously, that's what makes him a road course specialist. Guys like RHR and Power for that matter are quick everywhere because they want to be IndyCar champion and 500 winner.

How do they set the grid 10th-24th if the whole of Bump Day is rained off? Those clouds look rather set in and there's a huge amount of water on track.

Setting a terrible precedent
Asking if qualifying can be extended beyond the 6pm deadline just to allow Danica Patrick to get a second chance at qualification? Talk about setting a terrible precedent.
She tried to qualify yesterday and failed, she was in line earlier and failed inspection and had to get out of line and get back in line at a later position. And now the media is asking Indy Racing officials if they will extend the end of qualifying long enough to allow her to make another run today. Why don't they just keep qualifying going until she's in the field? At this point it's essentially the same thing. |
