A 1 with no hint of irony.

Certainly plenty of incident but as an actual race, it wasn't anything to write home about. 4.

The excitment was there for the wrong reasons.
Apart from that: too many safety car laps to remove a single car (again!) Perhaps fitting that it ended under a safety car. As a race: one to forget. |

One to catch the attention for sure, for all the wrong reasons. As a race, a fairly generous 5.

Probably a tad generous, but I gave it a 7, because I found it strategically interesting with the use of the different compounds. There was some good overtaking, but what makes it stir the soul less than, say, Mugello or Imola, is that little of those moves happen side-to-side through longer corners - it's brake, point it down the inside and squirt. There's overtaking, but it's somehow not thrilling.
All of my judgement above is regardless of the horror of Grosjean's accident. |

5. Lost interest after the dog failed to qualify.

7, and like Born Racer, I think I may have been generous. Grosjean's fiery accident and Stroll the Roll don't really come into the rating. Strategies and overtaking made it interesting, but as with nearly every race a stupid safety car period took the edge off it.

Only saw the C4 coverage so my 7 may be generous, as it obviously avoids the more tedious bits. Some interesting dicing behind the front few, with a variety of strategic calls - some of them somewhat odd - kept my interest.
The accidents of course were worrying (Grosjean's especially so) but I don't factor those into my assessment of the race per se. |

I too only saw the C4 highlights, unless I get Sky, which I am unlikely to, it’s the only way I can watch. 7 for me too. Decent race and enough to keep me interested, just a shame we didn’t see a fight for the lead. Great race by Perez though, imagine if he had the car and the means to challenge Merc. A winner in all but name
Most of all I am glad Grosjean was able to get out after that one and we managed to get the race restarted and get a good race on despite everything |
