Kimi v. Jenson
I start this topic on every forum I visit as my first topic.
So, both were hailed as future World Champions in their debut year, both have been given tons of respect from pundits - so, who's the best? |

I think they are both very talented and capable of winning the WC. But I think I'll have to tip the scale slightly in Kimi's favour.

At the moment i'd have to say Kimi, Jenson still has plenty of time so in the long run this ones still up for grabs.

For the majority of drivers at this level, winning a WC is more a matter of equipment, right now Kimi has the edge in this department.
It is difficult to say who's better though. Neither of them have a long history. Perhaps that is a measure of how good they both are. |

It's noteven close. Kimi is a future WC. Jenson seems to have lost all focus.

I think RT has hit the nail on the head; "Jenson seems to have lost focus", which isn't to say that he couldn't get it back. In his favour, he may show better against newcomer Trulli in the Renault Team than he did against fisichella. i also think that he may, ove r time , be better at set-up than Raikkonen ever will be. Kimi has gobs of talent, but then, we haven't seen him in an unforgiving car. Last years Sauber was a Peach, who knows how he'll fare against the experienced Coulthard and within the context of the McLaren Team?
Though I think the odds are that Raikkonen will Button to the first win and the first WDC, I think we could be in for a surprise. If Button reaches within himself and matures, he could still be a formidible force. |

Even little bro is better than Jenson....LOL
Kimi is in a better position to take this one easily. Yet it could backfire on him. He is either the next big thing or the next flop...LOL |

Jenson may have mroe potential than Kimi, as the sueprstar lifestyle seems to have overtaken racing in his priorities. This happens to many people who hit stardom young, but most manage to rein in these tendencies and really utilise their natural talent. The threat is if he ends up like notorious figures like George Best (Alcoholic), Stan Collymore (woman-beating lazybones dishonourable cheat), Paul Gascoigne (woman-beating alcoholic), or Diego Maradonna (Alcoholic lazybones dishonourable cheat). Raikkonen doesn't appear to have a star's ego at all, he jsut gets on with the job at hand

Seems to me Jenson does have real problems keeping his motivation when not in a capable car. So I go for Kimi

Has to be Kimi. How can anyone say Jenson is better? I have only been impressed by Jenson once. And that was the Belgian Grand Prix 2000. Since then, he has been way below par. I may be writing off Jensen too soon, but if he continues to have years like this year, well, all I can say is that he is not going to be champion...Kimi is motivated, and will make it to the top. Forgive me if I am wrong.

Alonso will Kick Bot
And They are bot Regular Drivers Fisi And Nick prove and Nick was beat be Jean and Trulli beat Alesi Big Time In Race too. The Sauber 2001 and thw Williams 2000 Were cars Very Ease To Drive Put they in a BAR Or Renault 2001 Or A prost and you Will see they beat By Alonso In A minardi For Sure. |

I think that Jenson deserves a little more credit than people give him.
The only problem being is that if he does not secure a good seat for 2003, he could end up just being another 'Journey man' F1 driver, making up the numbers rather than actually winning anything. As for little bro being better tham Jenson?... well. I have to disagree. And while we are on the subject of loosing Focus, the same could be said for Ralf in 2000 when Jenson joined Williams.... |

Jenson by a finger. Both are great drivers. Jenson in his first year performed great against a much more experianced driver. Kimi raced against a rookie.
I give jenson the nod. |

Jenson in my opinion could be better...he needs a team that is willing to give him equal equipment to his team mate, allow him extensive testing and not actively attempt to destabilise him for money making and contractual purposes by stopping him getting good results.
Both Kimi and Jenson are brilliant. However, whether team politics or ego problems and the distractions of superstardom will get in the way of success for both of them is another story altogether. I am still surprised to be honest that McLaren chose Kimi over Nick. He might just turn out to be the biggest flop of recent years. Can you imagine what a caning he will get if he is outperformed by DC, one of the most under achieving drivers of recent times. Will Kimi be coming out with "next year will be my year" quotes because he can't out qualify or out race Coulthard? As for Alonso, some people need to get a grip on reality. He is good, and in F1 on merit, but is frankly WILDLY overrated, and Jenson, Nick and Kimi have nothing to fear from him. |

I'd love to say Jenson, but young Kimi is a far better driver...
...but, anyway, they're both totally **** compared to the likes of Badoer and Alonso. |

personally, i think that Bunsen is the better as he's had a little more experience, and like Kimi, Bunsen had a good car in his first year and Kimi could possibly have a real pig of a car - like this year's Mclaren. of course Bunsen has not coped well with the expectations put onto him last year and i think Kimi could suffer the same fate as well - as long as he learns and learns quickly that he isnt the best thing since sliced bread (which is what i think Bunsen thought)

Neither of them.
Button is ****, pure and simple. Kimi has only had one season in Formula One, and though he was very impressive, let's just see how his first season at McLaren goes before we start heaping praise on the young Finn. Nick Heidfeld, on the other hand, could whip both these guys with one hand tied behind his back while blindfolded. |
