Boardman for Edenbridge

Tom Boardman has been signed by Edenbridge to run one of thier BTCC Production BMW 320i's this season. I think the BMW could be the joker in the pack - I wouldn't be suprised to see it claim Production wins!

That means that he won't be driving for VLR. He will be one of the favourites for the prod. title now!

Those BMW's are definitely going to be quick. Boardman will definitely win races, not sure about the title though...

This I can't wait to see! It certainly claimed wins in the ETCC last year - and I'm sure it will in the BTC-P too.

Tom desearves another crack at the BTCC, he certainly put in a good show, (even if he was wild towards the start).

I can't see Tom sitting back and if the BMW is well prepared then I see no reason for him not be a contender. The BMW is considered the best production car, but bay far the most expensive, that's why we saw none in GB last year.

From what i understand the edenbridge bmw's are not as developed as the carly motorsport cars, on the evidence of last year i would say they won't be anything special, unless that now they are not competing against ravaglia etc they will get the same parts as they used, which if from what ive heard was the case last year.

Hopefully the BMW will be competitive. If they do well there could be a BMW works support for them (IMHO). I hope they sound like the BMW's from 1996, the high-pitched scream!

It will be interesting to see how Tom`s car control with rear wheel drive is, if anything like his control last year in front wheel mode, this will be a good year.

I think he would be favourite for the BTC-P title, as the BMW's are probably going to walk it.

The Edenbridge cars were 2001 spec machines. Might have been upgraded now.

The cars will be good but they wont be mind blowing. And as for Boardman he hit the pitwall on the fourth lap of testing at snet

Autosport seem to think Rob Collard or Tom Ferrier as possibles. Collard would have been fun given that he and Boardman didn't exacly see eye to eye on occations last year. Looks like not him then
