No - the NSW vees went out on their own - this is an Australia wide category acceptance.

Oooops... how many people is this going to **** off?

We're struggling to get a field up here as it is- will this somehow get people back out onto the track?

Do CAMS honestly believe that this is a good thing? That bloody 2000 white paper lives on, every class that was popular at State or club level is being screwed somehow, simply because competitors don't want to join CAMS' favoured classes.

But hey, HQs are back! They're on the Power Tour (doh) and Procar, even though they weren't ever meant to be...

And they are going to get a big field of HQ's at the 24 hour, have a look at the entry fee!

I know... I told that to a few of the boys at the track on the weekend, and one of them said that he paid less for his car than what the entry will would set him back!

It roughly works out at $70 a lap if you count practice or $141 per race lap. That is if you get in the last race!

That is utterly ridiculous, they cannot possibly expect more than 5 or 6 entries. Group N Historic touring cars baulk at $350 to race at V8 supports or $500 to race at the Bathurst 1000. Does Ross Palmer really think that HQ drivers can afford to or would want to pay $1700 to SUPPORT the 12 hour.

Well it's $2000 for the BRutes, and $12,000 for the 24hr.

It's getting to be as bad as NSW speeding fines! Are they counting on the rich daddies who are paying their boys' way to fill the grid?
