How much are Ford paying Jordan?
Much is talked about how much Jordan is having to pay Cosworth next year for the engines, but no one seems to be aware of how much Ford are paying Jordan to badge the engines as Ford RS units.
Simple fact of the matter is that if they are not paying much at all, then there is no point in Jordan badging them as Fords (other than for the publicity and image value). I guess Ford Europe will be paying a substantial amount of the cost of the engines (no doubt this will most likely be administrated as a discount rather than a handover of cash (Saves on Admin costs and tax). Anyone got any thoughts on amounts? |

Well eddie said negociations are ongoing to the amount ford will pay Jordan last friday on irish tv. I suspect that ford will pay for the majority of the engine fee. Dhl had a 3 year contract with eddie for title sponsership and only sponsered the team for 1. the ford/dhl/jordan deal must have been the way dhl got out of sponsering jordan. so id say ford will pay more or less the lot.

You don't know what performance clauses were in that sponsorship contract though. I think DHL walked away because they could with no penalty. Just my thoughts of course.
