The first picture is of Marc Gossens in a 1994 Nordic Lola F3000. I'm not sure why it has "Birkin" sponsorship, Birkin is a South African kit car manufacturer that is owned by Steve Watsons family. Named after Henry Birkin, one of the original "Bently Boys" and Steve grandfather. ( I think)

I think the Cooper is Olivier Gendebien's Yeoman Credit T51 in the 1960 Portuguese GP. It would actually be pale green, but the picture looks faded or degraded to me.

There were very few street races at this time, and it's certainly not Monaco!

I agree with the Yeoman Credit theory, but am not sure it's Gendebien and remain puzzled by the background. Brussels, maybe?

Sorry - not Hockenheim. If you look in the back of the photo you can see an armco guard-rail right against the track edge. All armco barriers at Hockenheim are set back from the track. The fact that the barrier is so close to the track means that it has to be a street race, so I would go with Pau.

I'd say Pau is the favourite for the Goossens picture.

David - most pics I've seen of Brussels show it as a typical park circuit (or feature the Atomium). Were there any buildings close to the track? It looks a very "50s modern" style though.

There is a Yeoman Credit car that would fit though - Salvadori's T53 in the 1961 Brussels GP.

Not Salvadori or '61. Yeoman Credit used dark green by then and the car in photo is a T51.

Yes,of course, that's quiz from russian magazine "Formula".
This guy Kimi-Mika doesn't want to answer the questions himself,so he used to use someone else's knowledge.
BTW, TNF'ers refused to answer his questions any more...

No, I will not shut up.

It is our business to warn people that somebody is pretending to be an enthusiast when he is really trying to win a big prize in a competition.

If you are HONEST and tell people you are trying to win a prize, they can decide if they are prepared to GIVE you their time and knowledge for free.

Sorry I do not believe you.
EVERY question you have asked, whether as Kimi-Mika, Samuelson, Cat, or any other name has been asking for the answer to a quiz question.
You have NEVER asked a question that a genuine enthusiast seeking information would ask.
You have NEVER tried to answer anybody else's questions.
Nor have you taken part in any discussion.
The evidence is overwhelming.

Okay - time for this one to finish, I think. Everyone's had their right to reply, and anything further will be detrimental to the forum.

Two things spring to mind. First of all, it seems a shame that if a competition entry is the motivation for posting questions, it isn't made clear at the outset. That's the world we live in, I suppose.

Secondly, it should be noted by anyone following that route to find answers that they will not be the only competitor who has found this forum, as has been amply demonstrated this week. It seems to me, therefore, that in having the answers posted for all the world to see, one dramatically enhances the chances of one's opponents.

Rather defeats the object of the exercise, I would have thought.
