Written by: David Phillips Pittsburgh, Pa. – 2/24/2004 Quick!!! How many of you can decipher the acronym ACCUS? Better yet, how many of you have even heard the term before? For those unfamiliar with the nitty-gritty of international racing politics, ACCUS stands for the “Automobile Competition Committee for the United States.” ACCUS is the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile’s (FIA) national sporting representative in the United States and, as such, is responsible for matters such as listing race events and series on the FIA International Calendar. http://www.speedtv.com/commentary/9919/
