eeeek, diabetes, my gran has that and it runs through my family. I don't like blood or needles either so I would be no good with that, hope you hold up Paul and hope to see you out on the track again soon.

Get well soon Owy, diabetes isn't a nice condition and I hope he can cope.

My suspicion is that he was aware of this a while ago, and may not have actively saught a 2004 drive as a result.

Am I right in thinking that the MSA won;t issue a license if you have diabetes??

Urgh, not nice. My mum and uncle both have Diabetes (means a pretty good chance I will develop it at some point as well).
Wonder if the mention of needles just means blood testing or if it also means insulin injections.

I guess the big thing for Paul now is learning to read the signs and how to react to them (and ensuring people around him know how to react as well if need be).

I would think that as he ended up in hospital and has been told he's a Type 1 then he will be insulin. I'm a Type 2, not on insulin, but I do know how horrible is it is to have to prick your fingers to test your blood!

I think it very unlikely it will be this season, but if he is lucky he may make the start of the 2005 season.
