Before continuing, I'll try to explain this thread to a wider audience. The Moose Centre is the NW FF1600 Drivers Race Centre. A full explanation of how it came intro being can be found in the Ian Smith Page at www.brsccnw.com Now back to Jason's point. If I said "just bring some tea bags, or milk, or sugar, coffee, biscuits etc.", I'd end up, for example, with more tea bags than Sainsburys have got in their warehouse and none of the other stuff. Probably the best idea is to "spare a few coppers Guv" in the 'brew kitty mug' What has proved to be very good at disappearing last season is the humble mug. 50% have gone walkies. Another useful acquisition would be one of those stainless steel tubes that hold polystyrene cups. It would save them blowing all over the Paddock. Also some disposable tea spoons wouldn't go amiss. Hope this explains things bella. I noticed your request as I was completing this post. |

I know its a bit more work for someone, but what about a 'compulsory' raffle, say for a free test at Anglesey ( twist Mr Peacocks arm) or a set of brake pads to raise the dosh.
If more folk paid into it, they would assume ownwership a little more and therefore use it more effectively. What about apres test barbies on a friday night at anglesey? (Won't work @ oulton, they would want to do the catering, bless 'em) Don't get me wrong Diz, i'm not having a go at Oulton, I just hate people trying to make money out of me!!! |

It might be very cold at the weekend, would rain x anti fog keep me as warm as a nice warm padded mobile advert?
Seriously, thanks for starting this thread. |

Lads Lads. We have approx 50 drivers this weekend. If everyone stumped up a measly £1 each race, I am sure that would cover Diz's costs.
Yeah Diz? I have some more mugs for you.......... |

The Race Centre will not be in operation at pre race meeting test days at Oulton Park from now on. It was politely pointed out to me on Friday - by the circuit manager - that as it was a test day, they have her own contracted caterers and a test day is the circuits day. So I cannot supply brews etc to the drivers / teams in the championship. However, it is OK on the race day as the club hire the track - where this puts their contracted caterers argument on the race day, I can't understand. The circuit manager will have been aware that I was there on Friday test days before NW FF1600 rounds last season.
I'm sure that 'more prestigious categories' with something like a professional catering set up for their championship would not have this problem, or am I being paranoid? This conversation took place about 20 minutes after a senior looking individual - unknown to me - eyeballed me setting up. Connected with the MSV takeover, who knows. The race centre will be open at pre FF1600 race test days at Anglesey, as normal. It is a pity that Mallory already, justifiably, has the title of 'The Friendly Circuit', as it would suit Anglesey perfectly. |

I would imagine the answer to that is all registered drivers put a quid into a kitty. Tell the manager bloke that the drivers have therefore paid for their own food so do one. He can hardly stop people eating their own food, and anyway, its hardly a commercial effort anyway.
Point two is that we all boycot the Oulton Cafe on principle. I see the F£ boys had loads of 'hospitality' going. Just ignore him. |

I am really annoyed at the enforced closure of the Moose centre last Friday. Many BRSCC officials are welcomed on test and race days. I strongly urge them to argue our case for us,on the one hand we are trying to build up a community spirit and on the other the circuit is finding a new way to shaft us.
