Very nice photos Pigit, any chance of getting up to Darley Moor next bank holiday and snapping us there?

In the second set I notice someone has left a fire extinguisher trackside, up against the armco barrier. Naughty person!

Great pics Pigit

Sad news from Brands last weekend:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/4435549.stm

A go-kart driver has died in an accident at the Brands Hatch racing circuit in Kent.
Peter Dearden, 41, from Clitheroe in Lancashire, was driving in a motorcycle and kart race on Sunday when he was in collision with several other vehicles.

Kent Police said he died at the scene despite attempts by paramedics to revive him.

Another man was to taken to the Queen Mary Hospital, in Sidcup, after suffering a broken leg in the smash.

RIP and condolences to all involved

Sad indeed, but also poor mis-reporting. I don't for a minute imagine karts and bikes were in the same race...

Yes that is very sad news indeed. My condolences go out to all his family and friends.

He was last year's national 250 long circuit champion according to various sources.

I also noticed that fire extinguisher Stephen, I don't like the look of that. If I ever spotted anything like that at a meeting I'd make a point to go and ask the marshalls to kindly move it, as it's in the interests of everybody's safety.

Agreed, they should never be left 'trackside' of the armco barriers.

Hmm. Shades of Tom Pryce at Kyalami, and that should never happen again.
