Lola Mk2 BRJ1

a absolutely original FJ Lola mk2 bearing the chassis plate BRJ1 has been found in a "barn" after having been there for 20 years.

we suspect the car was taken to germany by an RAF officer stationed in germany in the 1960s.

the engine is in F3 (1964-1970) configuration so we presume that the car was taken to germany 1964 or later.
the car is yellow with a light blue nose, blue stripe down the middle and blue below the axle line.

can anybody help to trace the history of this car?

i can supply photos
thanks

Programme for the Goodwood TT meeting August 1960 the Lola FJ of Dennis Taylor/TEam Speedwell is described as blue/yellow. Might be a clue?

Haydn should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BRJ1 was one of four Fitzwilliam Team cars in 1960. Is it original and what condition is the chassis/body?. Could you send photos?

Cheers

From the programme - the BARC used to very helpfully list the colours of the cars. However, from Haydn's post this is obviously just coincidence. The Fitzwilliam cars were entered at this meeting and the programme gives their colours as Green. :-
LOla Mk1 entries
# 24 J D Lewis Green
# 26 C Steele Lola Cars Yellow
# 27 R Prior Lola Cars Red
# 28 P Ashdown Lola Cars Green
# 29 D Taylor Team Speedwell Blue/yellow
# 30 J Love Fitzwilliam Green
# 31 J M Bordeu Fitzwilliam Green
# 32 M Anthony Fitzwilliam Green
# 33 A Rees Silver
# 34 H Dibley Blue
