Bol d'Or & World Endurance

I'm not into bike racing, however I like endurance racing so so I am curious to know how many (if any) of you still follow the Endurance World Championship, and the Bol d'Or 24hr race (which I was surprised to find out was on this weekend!) - are they still in any way important at all, or is it the same here as in car racing where noone cares about these races anymore?

i usually do . didn't followed it that closely this year ..
Endurance Moto Racing has a constant public it's not huge
Suzuki is treating it with most importance . as they put in some of their ads the fact that they won the Constructors Championship . and is the only factory team

and then there is Suzuka 8 hours . for Jappanese is very important . we used to have Edwards, Rossi and many big names in that race . this year we had Vermuelen alongside the regulars Endurance drivers and local drivers like Ukawa,Itoh

Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Suzuki cannot field their star(s) from AMA, because AFAIK AMA was running at the weekend when Suzuka 8h ran. That's a shame. I really don't care about Endurance, but I love Suzuka 8h races. I watched this years one, it is great show... Factory, semi-factory machines, teams and riders. Suzuki and Honda running their stars. That's great, I love this race.

Very true but unfortunately Bernie bought the whole park and won't let the other kids play in it anymore.

Nogaro would probably be the place to hold it if you ask me.

And I went back and checked something, the World Endurance calender in 1992 had two 24 races in France, one at Le Mans (Bugatti) won by Foggy/Rymer/Simul and one at Paul Ricard won by Foggy/Rymer/Hislop (Yay!).

So was the Paul Ricard race was Bol d'Or or the Le Mans...
