NFL Stadiums Series

I got a new idea. Throughout some time i'll do a series of tracks around stadiums of the NFL.

I'll start with Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ, home of the New York Giants and Jets. I really like this one .

White line on the right side is the scale - it equals 1 km/0.6 miles

Next up is the Georgia Dome, home of the Atlanta Falcons. That proved a bit harder, as there's no real big parking areas around the Dome. the pit facilities are horrendous, and i guess the track is way too fast for a street circuit. It's alright anyway though.

Forgot to include the scale, but the part where the track goes up and down the same road is roughly a km. - it's a fairly big track, but it's a really difficult place to make a track.

Your circuit in New Jersey certainly looks to be quite a bit longer than the old Meadowlands CART circuit.

It's a horse racetrack - i considered including it in the track, but that would make it too long.

Now, next up is Ford Field in Detroit, home of the Detroit Lions. Yet another difficult place to put a track. I envision that paddock/pits would be situated on the parking lots sorrounding the start-finish straight and pitlane.

I decided to have a go with a few tracks.

The first is Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, home to the New York Giants and New York Jets. The track runs clockwise and circles most of the stadium. It has 12 turns.

The next track is around Heinz Field, located in Pittsburgh, PA, and is home to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The track runs clockwise and has 14 corners.

Next up is the Oakland Coliseum, home of the Oakland Raiders, in Oakland CA. The track runs counterclockwise, has 14 turns, and gets up close and personal with the stadium twice.

Finally, Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, NY, home to the Buffalo Bills. This track has 12 corners, runs clockwise, runs along side the stadium, and has an interesting pit entrance, similar in style to Montreal or Cleveland.

Are they all car park circuits?

Yes, for the most part. Heinz Field (the second one) and Ralph Wilson Stadium (the last one) use some streets, though.
