Roger

It might be useful if you contact Clive Hayward at www.merlyncars.com.
Whilst CRD now do general engineering work in Colchester, Clive was involved with the cars in period and remains very interested.

No help with the thread, but Dave Walker was one of my first racing heros - absolute magic in the Gold Leaf Lotus F3's - where is he now?

hi alan
for me they are all "heros" , the only different is , some of them are more popular then others , off course they where most time better then the others.

i met MARTIN STEPHANI a few times in the last few weeks , he really is a nice guy , he is always telling interesting storys about all our heros from
this great time.
he also gave me all his pictures , raceprograms , and results .
the collection is not compled but very nice and interesting.

if somebody is interested i can mail pictures.

best regards from germany , roger

Roger,

I don't remember Martin but agree with the heros comment. I started going to races as a teenager in the late 60's and was totally captivated by the Formula Fords and the 1 litre Formula 3's and was amazed at what these guys did and also what they got away with! The attitude was much different then - very easy going. Great days.
