Lotus 19 chassis #965
Re : Lotus 19, Chassis # 965 history wanted.
The original chassis was sold by Lotus as a rolling car without engine (gearbox?) to a customer in New York State in 1961 or early 1962. Does anyone know what happened to this chassis ? Also, David Greenblatt crashed a Lotus 19 at Mosport in the mid 60's and sold it to someone in Montreal, but he does not have the name. Anyone know anything about what car this was or what happened to it ? Thanks, Mike |

My notes say Mecom Racing 1962-64, first with 2.0 Climax and later with Oldsmobile V8. Drivers included Pabst and Cannon.
Perhaps other forum members can add more. Can't help with the Greenblatt car, though several 19s seem to have raced in Canada in the '60s |

David,
Do you know if the Mecom Lotus 19 was chassis #965, and was it painted in the Mecom Racing colors, a metallic sky blue ? Mike |
