Race 2 - Where are you!! (lost in Adelaide)

My bad I suppose!!

Stayed up to watch races 2 and 3 from Oran Park last night (in Adelaide), finally when the telecast started straight into race 3. WHAT! As per the V8supercar schedule....

Now I find out they changed the telecast for race 2 to be on Sunday arvo, also found out that they announced it at the end of Saturdays telecast (which I missed anyway).

Ch 7 advised that it was a late change and yes, they have had numerous calls already this morning asking what happened to race 2 last night!!

I guess as South Australian's can't win. All I ask for is please V8supercars, update your telecast schedule on your web site. Thanks for trying to look after us, but please communicate better.

Hang on - I live in Melbourne and knew that Adelaide was going to see the second race at 3:30pm in the afternoon.

In the updated TV Guide (not sure when they are printed, but would think it would be a few days before, not weeks) it listed Race 2 and 3 at night, and some movie in the afternoon.

I got called into work, made the informd decision that $52 an hour was more important than watching the race. Finished just in time to cars the 4 laps we saw of race 3 (ok maybe it was more, but it sure semed like lap 12 came about 30 seconds into the telecast)

I still think it would be a much better option of still providing a FULL unedited coverage early in the morning during the week, i'm sure Jesus wont mind if we steal his spot one morning every month

The telecast on Saturday showed that race 2 would be shown on Sunday afternoon.

We wish. Adelaide's afternoon/evening telecast schedule went something like this:

AFL (Port Adelaide v Hawthorn)
AFL (Adelaide v someone else)
Seven News
AFL (Second half of the Crows match)
Kath and Kim
My Name Is Earl
Meet The Fockers
And finally, at about 11, half a race of V8 Supercars from Oran Park.

Was it just me, or did they edit about half a lap under the safety car? What was the point in that?

Also, did you see when a Safety Car came out, they went to an adbreak, then came back for the restart only for Canto to beach it in Turn 1 and then another adbreak? We got about 30 seconds of racing between adbreaks!

Thank the heavens that there's a gap now to Sandown, at least then Channel Seven won't need to shuffle the coverage back to accomodate the AFL...

Yes, but DID you read my original post, obviously not. Not saying that 7 didn't mention it on Saturday, but you needed to watch Saturday to know that it was a last minute change. All our TV guides had races 2 & 3 on Sunday night with a movie on Sunday arvo.

Yeah as Head Rev said, i was explaining it from the point of view from someone who missed saturday, bought the sunday mail and read the TV guide.

As chatters said tho, it seens Race 2 wasn't even shown as it was ment to have been according to The end of Saturdays telecast.

Are we in agreence? (is that even a word), screw JesusTV and have a full replay early one morning

Why get everyone in Adelaide to change channels and watch some other shows , just to let the man from the west how you feel.

Great idea Fomoco, but unfortunatly it a bit like petrol, you know you're being ripped off, and even though you'd love to boycott and stick it to the man, the only person you end up hurting is yourself !!!!!!!!

I really feel for you guys over there in SA.

Either way the good old days of sitting down on a Sunday afternoon and relaxing watching the races is gone, and all because of money and some dropkick game of kicking an inflated piece of dead cow around a paddock.

Hopefully once these multi channel rules get changed they can telecast one or the other on another channel. Lucky yanks already get that, tennis went over the scheduled time the other day and the Count Down to green for the Busch series's had started on another channel. Even thou we get a feed out here on Fox Sports, the commentators gave it away and I had a contact over there confirm it for me.

Is it trues that some interstate viewers didn't see the podium presentations and the one on one interviews after the Oran Park race? I believe that was the case in Sydney, was that correct?

Despite all our winging here in Adelaide, we got to see and hear from each place getter after the race (after the podium presentation) in some good interviews. Maybe we should stop complaining!!!!! LOL

The podium / interviews were not shown in Sydney, they went straight to the AFL.
