This guide (every year) is just awesome. If nothing else, for any 'newbie' to the Le Mans experience, read pages 100/101, 'what to take and what to leave behind'. But in all fairness as stated, just take the whole guide! (And remember to donate!).

Another fantastic job! Thanks, will be reading this on and off over the next week, and sharing it with friends who don't know as much about Le Mans.

I believe the BMW's are V8s rather than Flat 6s.
The old BMWs were 6s. |

Fantastic stuff, especially the Le Mans on foot story. I do hope it doesn't resemble my first trip in any way, shape or form.

I was "on foot" at Le Mans last year (and this year!) and can vouch that organisation beforehand will save you tears. I had a trouble free run and loved my first Le Mans. Pretty much the same game plan for this year, except I know where everything is so it will be even easier! What's your plan of attack, Mike E? Flying or ferry?

I'm afraid I'm not brave enough to do it on foot, so I will be driving with more stuff than I need. Having said that, I will almost certainly forget something really important.

I must say, this is a stunning piece of work. Absolutely fantastic. Every person going to their first Le Mans should be required to bring a copy of this to the track and sign a statement certifying that they have read it . Congratulations on a true achievement.
