Broadband is better if you have it.
THIS IS REALLY GREAT!!!! TYPE IN WHAT YOU WANT HER TO SAY, THEN CHOOSE THE VOICE AND LANGUAGE!!! YOU’LL BE DOING THIS FOR A WHILE – SO HAVE FUN!!! I sure don't know how they do this! When you move the mouse around, her eyes follow. When you write something in the left space and then click on "Say it", she says it! GADS!!! You can also change persons doing the talking, etc. Click HERE |

Not a problem. That is the way it was described to me. I can imagine some "tight jaws" at Audi AND BMW if you are correct.
I the meantime, try THIS one. This even works well on a dial-up connection! |

Don't Panic
Think of what he has to go thru on his daily commute. Don't you just hate it when the traffic gets a little dense during peak times? It definitely takes Big Ones to do this daily trip. Hey, anyone could do this. All you have to do is remove the handle bars ... & have a death wish!!!
The video is a long one, so you'll need broadband. |

Australian Pursuit in a F-1 Ferrari
Apparently, a few years old (note the Goodyear F1 tires and lack of traction control), but this clearly shows the incredible performance of an F1 car compared to ordinary high performance automobiles. Even high performance Ferrari automobiles!!! Anyone recognize the course?
As car people, we all know this, but this is one great way to demonstrate the difference. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have Mikey at the wheel (and a broadband connection, elapsed time ~3m30 sec) click here Last edited by thebear; 5 Apr 2006 at 22:57. Reason: added course question |

The "Triumph of lelouche"
Please don't try this at home. In fact please don't try this anywhere.
On an early August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. [It's shot in the very early hours, so it helps a bit of you know the geography, as it's darkish in places. I reckon he must have hit 6th on the Champs Elysee, because he's really flogging it down there.] No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH (260 km/h) in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets. [It is also a tribute to the speed with which a sleepy early-morning pigeon can react - and an hommage to those that didn't make it] Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground on VHS tape until a DVD release (c'etait une rendezvous) a few years ago. Turn up your sound for this... and buckle up. Oh, and it's not been messed with, speeded up and whatnot. Totally insane, but entertaining (unless you were one of the pidgeons). P.S. The word is it was Gilles Villeneuve. It figures. There is a companion thread HERE on 10-10ths and the google link will be posted there as well. |

This one works ok on dial-up.
To paraphrase a "classic" educational RnB tune from those great old rockers, Sesame Street.... "Consumption, consumption, what's your function?" Make sure to visit each of the links - a UK Dealer is listed. a LARGER "Chelsea Tractor" |

Yes to both. It must've been filmed a bit later in the year, too, given the raised nose-cone. The dank weather also suggests later on.
When I was at Silverstone 1997, whilst I was in this big bleep-off Ferrari building thingy, they showed a film of that style. I am trying to think whether the one I saw was with the '97 car, or whether it was that same film. |

Not an original idea, though. I saw the same sort of thing years ago with Marlboro and McLaren. Alan McNish was in the slowest car, I think John Watson in the medium speed one and Niki Lauda in the F1 car. He even had a cup of tea with the mechanics on the start line before setting off.
In the Ferrari clip, isn't that Eddie Irvine driving the GT car? |
