Stoke Row Festival of Speed 2011 July16/17
OK here is the date.more info to follow closer to the time.Anyone welcome if you have a race car to display all the better. Classic cars and kit cars also required will be on display from Ferrari's up too Austin Seven's. We were short on Marshall's last year but i will ask Fay to sort that out. Accommodation will be available for Volunteers if required.
Stoke Row is in between Reading and Henley on Thames ,There will be a F3 pit stop challenge so teams need to PM me sometime. Auction as well with yours truly at the realm."great fun". This year i am going to get the classic cars to parade around the estate where the race cars are just to entertain the public a bit moore. The sun always shines and its just a nice couple of days relaxing, nattering, drinking and eating BTW BBQ Saturday evening.Cheers Iain. |

It is in the diary but you might have to find me a new pit stop team as Redlight might not have me in his team this year.

I think this year we should change both front tyres. I might also do away with pushing the car into the pit as some of the young racing drivers were not to good on steering.WDYT.Thanks for posting on CF3 site Ricardo

If bacon butties are confirmed I will be there again. No one should trust me with a spanner, but I'll provide motive power and the look on the kids faces says you should still have the drivers!
I'll chuck a couple of eat-sleep-race t shirts into the raffle - REMIND ME!!!! |

TBQH this is all sounding more interesting than Chumley......doubt I'll make any money there either, so may as well come to Stoke Row and have fun. Put me down for the duathlon Iain (As long as I can use Zef's scooter for the running bit!)

Yep ,its just for fun Max. You and Mrs Max or Master Max can team up. The show is certainly becoming an event now with a lot of interest .I think we are at the point where we need to decide to grow, or just keep to a small village fete theme. What I am going to go ahead with is the classic car parade to drive through where all the racing cars will be on display. We had some stunning cars last year and I want the racer's and public to be informed about some history and ownership. This leads me on to a question does anyone know or have some kind of PA system we could hire, borrow.

Committee meeting last night and just to let some of our F1 friends know that it turns out there is more then one F1 contact in the village. I have been offered the chance of an Cosworth F1 engine for display and a lot of other F1 goodies for the Auction.
