I'm sure it will be a ground-breaking announcement for the sport, something along the lines of announcing Cottees as the official cordial of V8Supercar....

Or perhaps, shock horror, it could be to announce that V8Stuporcabs will no longer have flagging done by Race (out of) Control!!!!

Anything else would only interest the rednecks.

oops, did I type that out loud? oh my..

It will be a sponsor announcement for sure, or maybe Toyota are joing the series from 2035.

If it's about Brad Jones why would V8SC be announcing it instead of Holden - wouldn't make sense.

  • TC resigns, replaced by GTR Magic (he did say his CV was up to date)
  • Toyota to enter series 2009
  • Chrysler to enter series 2009
  • WPS pulls out sponsorship of Safety cars, replaced with .......
  • Murphs mate leaves the US taxis and comes back to the series
  • China round back on the cards now the swindling chinese's man is out of the picture
  • No more grid girls after 2007 series, taking the PC route
  • Ford vs Holden battle at 08 GP (opps the cat's out of the bag)
  • Extra enduro added to the schedule
  • Free to view live streaming to your PC for 2008 and beyond

My god, I'm starting to sound like Pro Racer
no offence intended, love your work

So... what would I do with the extra $2m salary a year, free Audis, and dozens of people lobbying me for "fixes"?

I wouldnt consider a change of race director as earth shattering news - not one to hold off announcing until everyone is gasping to hear what the scoop is!

It has to be big for them to brag that a 'major announcement is coming' and the fact that the powder room has not had any solid 'whispers' means that it must have been kept very quiet - whatever it is !

With the pressure on little Johnny to grab votes, especially in Queensland and the traditional National Party stronghold of North Queensland being under threat from Labor, maybe he has had a re-think on supporting the Townsville event. It was only a few weeks ago that the Major of Townsville led a delegation to Canberra to lobby for funding.

He has, and like all good holden teams ALL the cars will now all be sourced from walkinshoddy performance, hence the series will be known as walkingshoddy performance supercars, or WPS for short - a conspiracy years in development!

I like it!

I am curious about this 'announcement' though. Hope it's something worthwhile, otherwise there will be a lot of disappointed people in here!
