Mega Fuels.... Out??
Whispers around the traps is that Mega Fuels may not be continuing their relationship with WAU next season... wonder if they are following Mr Courtney out the door?

Idle chatter?
https://www.fullyloaded.com.au/produ...fuel-expansion
Mega marks retail fuel expansion Mega is expanding its services Bulk fuel solutions company Mega Fuels is expanding into the retail space with the opening of its first service station in Rocklea, Brisbane. The Australian-owned and operated supplier, which also operates its own B-souble fleet, says the 1384 Ipswich Road location is the first in a planned rollout of Mega fuel stations along the eastern seaboard. Its transition into retail fuel follows its operation supplying bulk fuel for a number of years. It underwent a phase of acquisitions throughout 2019, it says, taking control of a number of fuel distribution companies to bolster its bulk fuel distribution capabilities and establish a network that can support the retail rollout. The opening is set for Saturday, July 20. |

Maybe I'm in the wrong place to mention this... But I think any business that is looking to expand by focusing on fosil fuels only has a short term business plan.
Their bulk fuel service for mining etc. may have a little longer pipeline (pun intended) but retail fuel stations will be very different places in 10 years. Although there would be some bargins to be had, I imagine there are plenty of larger businesses (BP; Shell; etc.) happy to off load assets that only have 10 or so years left to run. |

idle chatter
I was simply addressing idle speculation, potential to damage:
As for questioning the longevity, no doubt the poster at a minimum read the business plan? & NO, I've no interest in the business concerned & I've no interests ($) in that sector. Last edited by cavvy; 3 Sep 2019 at 01:33. Reason: Clarification |

Hmm, we'll see if this program includes the VASC. They obviosuly have a good business plan, so it should work. We'll see what happens with regards to the series

A full Mobil 1 livery will look better anyway. Wonder if WAU can get Mobil to tip some more into the bucket.
Replacing Courtney with an inexpensive driver such as Hazelwood will also help the balance sheet. |

7/11 is Mobil Australia’s largest fuel retailing customer..
X Convenience is SA only just as Dib Group is in the Eastern States with their Metro & Apex branded fuel sites. Petrogas is in there somewhere too... as is Pacific Petroleum.. Mobil branding in theory benefits all these sites, most of whom proudly display Mobil as their fuel source at the bowser, or inside the shop. |

The timing suggests Courtney exited the team after they could have had notice of the receivership.

WAU Terminates Mega Sponsorship
Presumably they consider the chances of being paid for signage for the remainder of the year is zero to none. Wanna brand a car cheap? |
