"His Majesty"
Had a good laugh at Martin Brundle's grid walk - when he says to Bernie "do you think I can get through to have a word with His Majesty" - I honestly thought he meant Schumacher! And then - he manages fairly easily to get a chat with king Juan Carlos, but needless to say is nowhere near the real "king"!
BTW, This moment may well have been more fully laughed at/explained on the TV, but I couldn't hear very well due to noisy pub environment. |

There is only one King in F1, and although I dread to say it, his name is:
Bernard Charles Ecclestone |

I don't love him - I just like digging all you mugs that insist that he's no good just because you don't like him. I realise that it would suit the narrow minds much better if my admiration of the number one talent corresponded with some kind of "love" - but I am not as simple as that, or you.
I'd be FAR happier if Williams and Montoya were doing as well - but they aren't. Just thought it was funny that the head of the local monarchy was easier to interview than Schumacher. |

Ho ho, you're so funny. As I've said before - if the best you guys can manage is "love him, hate him" it's no wonder that you find F1so frustrating. Last edited by Glen; 29 Apr 2002 at 12:07. |

A lot of people on here remind me of this bumper sticker I saw:
The more it upsets you the more I enjoy it. |

[QUOTE][i]Originally posted by Glen

But Schumacher fans will make up anything to defend the honorless one. But it is true that plenty of us don't like him. His dangerous tactics are going to cause a big kill and the sport will be plunged into mass emasculation as a panic solution to a problem we can fix now by simply applying the rules that are already in place. Of course, since schumacher is so honorless to take advantge of a governing body that allows him to pull his dirty tricks, Schumacher fans could care less about safety as long as their guy wins. "I realise that it would suit the narrow minds much better if my admiration of the number one talent corresponded with some kind of "love" - but I am not as simple as that, or you." Narrow minds? Coming from a schumacher fan! Schumacher fans are famous for their sicophantic, blind and puppy like adoration of the guy, no matter what he does. The thinking fans choose not to follow the guy. The thinking fans realize that THO is dragging the sport and it's honor into the toilet. That is why we have zero tolerance for such utter drivel. When the blood is everywhere, we will see who had the narrow minds. |

Well, I do like the bloke but beyond that I agree with what mr.v just said. He is very good - very special - but he is also complimented by the best team and a crew that works around him.

Ohhh, c'mon Doc, you were doing so well with the quote thingie.
OK people it's like this. To quote someone directly, just hit the quote button above their post. Then delete the parts of the post that are'nt important (in Moffats case - all of it). Always making sure though that you close the quote. You can do the following(without the spaces) very easily: Bold:[ b ] B o l d [ / b ] italics:[ i ] i t a l i c s [ / i ] Underline:[ u ] u n d e r l i n e [ / u ] Quote:
Or we can mix them up Quote:

Not trying being snide. We were working the same joke. It was supposed to be funny, not snide.
