Lambo eyes Prodrive
Lamborghini want prodrive to run their return to International motorsport in 2004. A deal to retun Lambo to sports car racing could be announced in the next 2 weeks at the same time the VAG decide whether or not to go back to LM with their own R8 prototype.
Option A - GTS class with Murcielago against the C5R storm and 550 Option B - GT car yet to be released to go against th mighty 996 |

What suprises me about this story is that Prodrive are going to get into bed with VW. I was under the impression that the new Lambo GT car was going to built by Audi Sport.
I always thought that the next GT car Prodrive would build would be a Aston Martin, after all the they have very close links with Ford. |

I know it's got nothing to do with this thread, but they are hoping for upto six Lambo's in next years FIA GT's.

Plus Prodrive are getting into the Australian V8Supercar series.
Can't blame Lambo for looking at them, look at the way their Ferrari's have gone. |

What about TWR, must have a bit of space in the factory for a GT project. I would love to see them back with a works project.

Volvo have ended there ETCC (&STW), does this mean that Prodrive will have some space in the factory?
Rydell has all but confirmed that he is staying with Prodrive and will race at Sebring and LM in a 550. he is also looking for a ride elsewhere for the ALMS. |
