Race number sizes
Hello
Just a quicky. I'm stuck at work, with no access to the bue book, and wondered if anyone could tell the minimum size of race numbers? And if there is a recommended font. Thanks |

May be too late, but:
Min size 23cm high, with a stroke width of a minimum of 3.8cm. No mention of font, just that the numbers must be of the 'classic' type: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-0, which I assume menas no French-style 7's, etc. (reg E11.3.11) |

Blimey, same time and everything..
Yeah, no mention of the font, so as long as you can identify the numbers, I don't suppose it matters. |

Both Demon Tweeks and Grand Prix racewear sell number packs for around £12-£22.
They also sell individual numbers and white backgrounds, which is what I bought. I think that 4 x 68 and 2 x White Backgrounds cost me under a fiver when I turned up at the Silverstone shop. Phil |

PDL That's good value for money.
We have someone make them up for us and I needed to tell him the size, but didn't have the blue book to hand. It's the first race on Saturday and after a respray the car has no decals on it at all at the moment. If you leave it late the organising club normally have some available at the race meeting. However we wanted a bit of time to put them on properly and not do the rush job like last year! Thanks again. |

Glad I'm not the only one doing last minute preparations. My car currently looks like a red/yellow shed
I would have applied the number backgrounds earlier, but a new batch of them has only just been made - the old ones kept falling off! |

Chris
Saw one of your fellow racers towing his MG Maestro down the A34 on Saturday night. P? Roberts was the name on the side. |

No flying this time, but a whole lot of trouble from an MST transponder.. I'll post a thread about that somewhere else I reckon. Anyway, I finished the race this time (1st finish since SUNBAC last year ) and finished 16th after starting 20th.
PDL, that was Paul Roberts - yellow(ish!) car. Don't know him that well, but I nearly bought one of his cars when I was first getting into the Maestro racing thing. Last edited by Chris Y; 17 Mar 2003 at 10:08. |

Is it the AMB 260?
Direct powered? Post the thread here. I've yet to use mine in competition. Phil (worried) |
