How cool is that.
I wish champcars could one day race on snow or ice to add to the diversity of the series. |

I remember Nazereth being snowed out a few years back. Maybe they should have given it a go.

Interesting that the car still had the "No Limit Property Gruop" sponsorship stickers aboard... they are associated with Aussie Marcus Marshall... perhaps this is an inkling of bigger and better things for Mr Marshall too

First-of-all, I was unaware of this rule. Secondly, wouldn't one think that the Coyne operation already had more testing-miles than anybody else? But then again, something makes me want to remember something about a differentiation between "rookie" testing and "setup" testing..? Strange story. Sounds like a waste of somebody's money, really. |

Also... Coming from the CC website... Why are they so vague in mentioning "a certain amount of miles"?

That photo where the car is making the right-hand turn is classic! Save it, everyone!

Weird rule, indeed. F1 tested in the snow... and anything F1 can do Champ Cars do better...

I remember that Nazareth race. I live north of the track in New York, and I remember how warm it was that day (Saturday), shorts and t-shirt weather. I watched qualifying on TV. Thinking the beautiful weather would last, and knowing I would be able to watch the race on TV the next day, I went to bed, not caring what the weather would be like on Sunday. I woke up the next morning, looked out my bedroom window and saw snow on the ground. I thought to myself, "WTF? It snowed?" Either I was watching SportCenter or the race and found out it was snowed out. Interesting weekend, but that's how it is around these parts. It can be 70 degrees F one day, the next, its 30 degrees F.

Perhaps they want everyone's rebuilt Cosworth to have the same number of miles so that they're making equiviliant HP? I can't think of anything else. It seems rather pointless to test a car in the snow. Adding "tested Champ Car" to one's CV seems to mean less and less...
