Britcar 24 Hour Silverstone
Just thought I would start the ball rolling for this event by posting a heads up for those who may be travelling a far way to marshal this event.
Just booked a room at the Travelodge, Towcester, for the Sunday night giving me time to recover before the trip north on Monday. £15 non refundable for a family room with en-suite. https://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_...terSilverstone KJR |

Oh no more jocks heading south for the 24hr!! Hopefully we will have a lot more people this year - if not we will still enjoy it and get by.
Who needs Travelodges for the Sunday, ask Pavarotti - two can's of Stella mixed with some sleep deprivation and he was out cold the whole night. By the way who are you wedgie? If you are up at Knockhill at the next meeting and need any more info about the meeting see Gary or Davy Volunteering forms submitted last week for myself, Haggis and Pavarotti and looking forward to it already - this meetng is the highlight of the year for us. We are currently putting some serious thought into the wig choices for the meeting. Timetables on EERC website already - http://www.eerc.co.uk/cms/e107_plugi...fm.php?acat.12 For anyone that was not there last year and is thinking about doing it this year then go for it, the atmosphere was fantastic and we were very well looked after by the organisers. And to everyone else, don't forget it's not just an excuse for the Knockhill marshals to come to Silverstone. The more people there, the more people can be rota'd for more time off. Spread the word & bring a friend.

Well said Al - the more we have the more enjoyable it will be for everyone, if we can make it from another country (retire and await comments) then there is no excuse for anyone else. If you dont go you wont know what you are missing.
There was even a marshal from the channel islands there last year. Does anyone know what the grid is like, the entries closed a few weeks ago IIRC. Did notice that the two ASR Falcons are in it again as is the Camaro that was in the Brit GT last year, hopefully it does not chuck its propshaft going full chat at me like it done last year at Knockhill! Mick, I have emailed the flying haggis about your picture As he stays in Alloa (Banjo country) it might take a while for a reply, he is the only person in the world still on dial up!!. Go to the 24hr to collect the picture, what an excuse. The pics a good one, did he show you the one of him with the yard of ale when he fell asleep, with half the yard spilled on his crotch - so he says!!. Looks like we better stock up on the beer then if more southern (to us anyway) shandy drinking softees are going!!. Paul |

Hello all,
For those who have not seen the timetable (issue 2) for the event it can be found on the EERC website: http://www.eerc.co.uk/ Go to the events page then click on "24Hour - Silverstone" We are still looking for marshals for what promises to be the event of the year. If you cant do all three days, just let us know what days and times that you can do when you volunteer. To volunteer, either contact Keith Jones or Pam Dearn in the usual way or go to: http://www.marshals.org.uk/BRSCCMidsform.htm If anyone is available who has a Rescue License and would like to join the Rescue team, please email me. We will be providing food each day along with a free bar after track activities on the Friday evening. There will also be a major raffle with excellent prizes. If anyone has any questions, please email me at home@julian-floyd.com I look forward to seeing you all at this event! Julian Floyd BRSCC |

...but some of the entrants have been known to rub a panel or two in their pasts, naming no names "...John George, Phil Bennett, Clio Cup man Ed Pead, WTCC ace Rob Huff, and FIA GT team boss Mark Lemmer..." Al |
