RBR adds to technical team.

RBR has signed Mark Smith, formerly of Jordan (briefly) and Reanult as it's deputy technical director. It was widely expected that Smith would link up with Mike Gascoyne at Toyota and reform the partnership from their days at Renault.

Good move from RBR.

Red Bull Racing launching a challenge on the front-running teams this year when the outfit confirmed that Mark Smith had joined it as its deputy technical director, as autosport.com exclusively revealed earlier this month.

Smith, who has helped design recent race-winning cars for Renault, joins RBR after a brief spell at Jordan – which he left following the takeover of the team by Midland earlier this year.

RBR has also announced that Anton Stipinovich will join it as its new head of development, following spells at Ferrari in McLaren.
