CanAm RK March 847

In 1984 Jim Crawford drove an RK March 847 in the CanAm series. I understand it was designed by Chris Murphy based on a March Indy car and supported by RK Composites. Martin Krecji has the car listed as serial #02. Last year I came across car #01 in storag and this is now being restored [by someone else, not me] for historic racing in the US - http://www.rkmarch847.com/gallery.htm

Can anyone throw light on the history of the two cars?
