I could see how Audi not being there might encourage additional WEC P1 privateers to give it a go, but beyond that I don't see how it could have much of an impact.

If you're a WEC or ELMS P2 team, you'd still have to finishing ahead of four or five P1 cars to win overall — and even if you think that Muscle Milk and Dyson are suspect in endurance races, there’s the pair of Rebellions to deal with. So it still seems an odds very much against proposition.
