According to Autorace.com, Australian driver Mark Webber moved one step closer to fulfilling his F1 ambitions when he signed a new sponsorship deal with Computershare, a Canadian technology firm.
It is speculated that Webber is the strong favourite to be signed as official test driver by the Benetton team for the 2001 season, but he admitted that a cash shortage has always been a stumbling block in his F1 ambitions. 'It's very, very difficult for me to find the funding which would enables me to compete overseas'. |
