Not sure that this is really a genuine reason to dismiss the championship altogether... If anything, a heavier car could improve the quality of the racing - heavier car = bigger braking distances = more scope for outbraking manoeuvres. Also, they will have less grip through the corners as a result of the weight, so may make them a bit more of a handful, which is rarely a bad thing in my opinion.
