NASCAR name
Why are the NASCAR based series in Europe (ASCAR), South Africa (SASCAR), and CASCAR in Canada, not called NASCAR, if they are pretty much the same rules (i think).
When the NASCAR's raced in Australia and were promoted by Bob Jane at the Thunderdome, the series was known as the Australian NASCAR Championship, but since Bob stopped promoting it it has been called V8 Stock Cars and now Closed Sports Cars!!!! Does it have something to do with licensing, that Australia paid to use the NASCAR name yet others therefore can't use it? |
