I just thought I'd resurrect my first and only thread to celebrate, rather belatedly, Willie Green's fine victory in the Ligier at historic Le Mans after hounding Mark Hales (another good drive)in the 512. Willie is still my hero in historic racing. Shame David Piper's 917 didn't quite get up there. The result could well have been different if Bobby Rahal had turned up in his 917. What a shame he didn't. Does anyone know why?
