I am a VW nut, and I have never seen that double bug. Wow.
These races were on a track, or over the public roads?

Yeh, the Fitti-Porsche was based in the 550. The chassis was prolongated in 300mm, and body was drawn by Emerson. He broke record of Interlagos, in the first lap with this car.
The double VW is only two joined engines... The Double VW was fastest that one Lola T-70
It looks at the windscreen of the car, it is lying, the space is the air inlet there, to cool the engine.
They were in a track, circuit of Interlagos and Jacarepaguá, and others road-circuits.
