John Newman should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
MGCC/Autosport

Below is a copy of a letter I have just sent to Autosport, what odds will anyone offer me on it’s publication?

Sir.
Having spent the evening at the Unipart Marshals’ Trophy presentation I was not amused to be woken at a (relatively) early hour the next morning by our postie ringing the doorbell with one hand and clutching a parcel in the other.

However this soon changed when the contents of the parcel were revealed to be a very fine, and extremely practical rucksack sent by the MG Car Club as a seasonal appreciation for my marshaling activities for the club this year. Accompanying this was a very kind letter from John Watson the chief marshal.

Given the continuing decline in numbers of marshals at many events, perhaps some of the “major” race organisers should take a lesson in morale boosting from this “smaller” club.

Many thanks MGCC I’ll be there next season.
