The Aston Martin Asia Cup site list 6-8 Nov date in Shanghai for the Asian Le Mans race, but to be confirmed of course.

Not bad, I hoped for RML and maybe even Dyson too. Would be great to have all the Mazda cars... Why are the Pescas entered as Sora Racing? |

According to Henri (from comments on DSC) SORA are the composites company who now own Pescarolo Sport- they're keen to promote the brand in Asia, hence the entries being under the 'SORA Racing' name
The Peugeot will be the car used at Le Mans, possibly with some Peugeot crew on loan as they're running 3 cars It's not a bad entry- interesting to see that the top two finishers in Formula Le Mans will get an invitation to take in the Asian races |

Pretty good line up with 6-7 possible winners & don't forget that more cars may enter as well (yes, some will drop out but let's stay positive).
in particular, I would expect the ACO to lean on some more american teams (Acura would be nice, no?); the ACO are assisting with transport costs & at the minute they will be flying the Ford GT over by itself. |

They're announcing the list now because there was a deadline to sign-up and get free transport. The teams on the list have not got a complete budget for the races yet, but nobody in America chose to enter just in case.
Acura will first have to wait and see whether they have teams and a program left at the end of the season, but Acura has been introduced in Japan right? |

What sort of attendance levels can we expect? Decent for the Japanese round, empty seats for Shanghai?
It should be interesing to see - it won't be a success if they are only racing infront of marshalls, photographers and journalists. |

From Super GT there is the Daishin Ferrari in GT2 and the Team Nova Aston in GT1. This time the Aston will be fighting on a level playing field! I can see it being popular in Japan but in China, probably not.

Team KSM is going with the Lola Mazda, that means Hong Kong based Briton Matthew Marsh will be driving.
Team Hong Kong Racing will have Philip Ma, Frank Yu, Michael Choi, Samson Chan, Steven Chian and Mimo Schiatarella. This bunch of gentlemen racers are very wealthy but not too bad. (I mean the HK drivers not Schiatarella.) It is a shame with these HK based racers, the race is so far up in Shanghai and not at Zhuhai. |

Hmm, so it seems that after the loss of the Pesca Pug at Le Mans, Peugeot will go to the Asian Le Mans Series/China themselves, skipping Algarve... So will this raise the grid by a second 908? Here

I'd substitute Melbourne with either Phillip Island or Bathurst that would be even better.
