From a teams perspective I don't see what difference such a change would make. Sebring is treated as a standalone event like Le Mans, Daytona and Nurburgring over and above their relevance to any series.
From a fans perspective I would think the only concern is Sebring retaining it's status as second only to Le Mans. Bottom line is Sebring and the ALMS currently have the same ownership, could that change, or could Sebring become a cash cow to subsidise the ALMS? Whatever the case it appears there are major discussions going on about all manner of things in private. |

Seems like IMSA should take this chance to go tell the WEC to shove it and be pro-active and not reactive to this sort of news. No need to wait for 2013, no need to get dumped on, make your own call.
Rather than being told they need a WEC exclusive grid, they need to tell the WEC that if they want the honor of having Sebring in the WEC, they can choose to play by IMSA rules and have a mixed grid, with a WEC class, or they don't get to have Sebring. |

It wouldn't be a WEC exclusive grid but would only count for WEC points.

yeah but everyone didn't have a brand new car, with a brand new suspension now did they, what other explanation do you have since, no such problem was present at any other track, and it sure as hell doesn't seem to be showing up at silverstone
