They mentioned in the commentary that they're hoping to have spectators back 'soon' (whatever that means).
Enjoyed the race - so good to have "full metal racing" back again |

Okay kids, how likely do we think it is that the rescheduled N24 is going to allow spectators, in particular spectators who have to travel from the UK and won't turn up until the Wednesday afternoon?
I'm faced with the choice of competing in a hillclimb at Wiscombe or making use of a rearranged ferry originally booked for the previous date. I very much enjoy Wiscombe but will already be doing in 5 days in the space of 3 weeks so would happily miss for the N24h....but I don't want to hold off from entering only to find out that I'm stuck at home. Currently I'm thinking I may have to enter the hillclimb and possibly withdraw if the 24h goes ahead and I'm allowed to go. |

Currently debating that there (as well as another small 24 hour race in France the week before). Have accommodation booked at Centerparc Fri to Mon plus shuttle. Option is the Spa 24 in October instead ... might even be able to get Centerparc booking switched.

Thankfully I don't need to worry about booking accommodation as will be in a van with a bed so shack up somewhere. Previous years have done Schwalbenschwanz, but was intending to be up in the main campsite at the GP circuit this year so that I can explore more down towards Aremberg.

This year would have been our ninth year in a row at the N24. Too much uncertainty and too much $$ involved and in limbo. Just pulled the plug and cancelled plans for September. Very disappointed. Hope we can be back to "normal" in 2021. Best wishes to all for the NLS and N24 in whatever form they take for 2020.

The races this weekend were great to watch but its 2020 folks. More cameras are needed for sure. At least have some cams on the Hacksenback section. Extend the chance to see the GT3 leaders run around somewhat more. End of the Grand prix loop and waiting to the Dottinger Hur is a long wait.

Plus of course they're trying to keep number of people involved down, so guess they are limited with number of cameramen Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Covid-19 Update
Current situation would be to run the race without spectators. (Current decision still be updated in the future) https://www.endurance-info.com/fr/le...g-a-huis-clos/ |

Lack of cameras at the smaller races is understandable. True it's not the same as the higher production of the races we're used to seeing or races built for paid consumption. Even so, those smaller races help set some of the background when it comes time for the N24.
With the race being run with no spectators, I'm also wondering if those nordschleife cameras will be manned at all. |

Looking good! Think I spotted a 003C in the background, have you done back to back runs to see how the two compare? Can't wait to see it run, love seeing the little guy take on the big manufacturers.

That's 31 SP9 (doesn't split them into Pro/Am yet) which is pretty darn good Looks like it is the classes that have taken a knock - none of the others in double digits & 10 of them without enough cars to fill a podium Class Count SP9 : 31 PRO : 1 SP7 : 7 SPX : 1 CupX : 2 SP8T : 4 SP10 : 6 TCR : 4 Cup3 : 6 SP8 : 2 SP3T : 3 M2 : 1 AT : 3 Cup5 : 6 V6 : 2 VT3 : 2 V5 : 1 SP3 : 5 VT2 : 8 SP4T : 1 V4 : 5 SP4 : 1 31 Porsches / 27 BMW / 10 Audi / 8 Mercedes then the rest |

Sami-Matti Trogen has signed a two-year long professional contract with the German Walkenhorst Motorsport team. The first race as part of the team will be with a GT4 car at the ADAC TOTAL 24h race at the Nürburgring on 24-27 September.

I saw some tickets have gone on sale today. Couldn't see mention of the Nordschleife. Anyone know if they are just letting people onto the GP circuit?

I believe that was the original plan, but I don't know if it's changed. Limited number of GP circuit tickets, social distancing and masks etc.

It's exactly that. GP circuit grandstands only, designated seat, designated parking spot and even a designated route you must take between the two. No roaming, even between grandstands.

Even if I was able to travel I think that would be a no from me, exploring is one of the main parts of the race and being confined to one uncomfortable grandstand seat the whole time just doesn't appeal in the same way.
