"A plague of the wildlife variety caught Memo Gidley, who qualified 16th, as man and bird collided on his run, leaving the safety crew the job of cleaning up the parts of the bird that were left on the track."

And what is the deal with the gap between Big Mo and MB, and Brack and Mad Max? |

PETA will be getting after the motorsports soon if this carnage continues!
Good to see My Gil and Moreno right up near top of the pile - and such a little spread among the top flyers too! Whatever happens, Gil will finish 6th. He seems to ALWAYS finish 6th. If he finishes. Probably everyone else will crash and Fernandez will win. |

Bad news for the field. Fernandez has qualified 16th. Since no one inside the top 10 in qualifying has yet to win this year, it looks good for Fernandez to win his unprecedented third Motegi.
PS, watch out of Vasser and Tracy again. |

Eastern time is 5 hours behind the time in the UK.

The race is on at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time - which means it's probably on about 5:30 a.m. in England. But that's a guess, based on it being "live".
I am going to take a nap before it comes on. I want to be awake to see Gil as long as his car holds together ... *sigh* Look for Mikey to be really pressing hard as he is pointless (in the literal as well as the figurative sense) so far and will be trying to cure this problem. WATCHOUTPAUL!!! |

What, like My Gil might actually finish the race for a change?
The rebroadcast is at 10;30 p.m. on TSN if they actually go, or whenever the boxing match gets over. I am just glad they committed to running it at all! |
